Daniel Del Rosal Garcia
ARTIST STATEMENT
„So who is an artist?” they asked, and to my surprise,
I answered, „An artist is a person who explores the essence of beauty and ugliness, seeking new answers and outcomes.”
Born in 1983 in Madrid. He studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid, partially also pursuing studies in Warsaw, where he currently resides. He has held numerous solo exhibitions, including at Delfina, MiTo, Prom Kultury, Van den Berg, Pracownia Miejsce, Autograf, Bily Konicek at the Ethnographic Museum, Bacalarte Gallery, and Fijewski Gallery.

CRITICISM
Rosal takes up issues related to the ubiquitous, all-encompassing limitations and creates monolithic images. His micro worlds are a real horror vacui of colors, structures, dimensions and forms. The artist developed his own, original technique of working with painting matter, which led him to the effect of living, organic three-dimensionality. Successive layers of paint on Rosal’s canvases vibrate like bacterial worlds under a microscope. The artist reveals what is hidden on
a daily basis. His art is like a living organism, a volume that grows on the surface of the canvas. (...).
