On June 15, 2023 at Fijewski Gallery (Elektrownia Powiśle, 42 Dobra Street, l+2, Warsaw), was held an extraordinary opening of “Organico” exhibition of Spanish painter Daniel del Rosal García where artist's paintings came to life before viewers eyes. This unique event was not only the inauguration of the artistic exhibition, but also an opportunity to discover the fascinating world of abstraction and organic inspirations that shape the works of this talented artist.
A fascinating story about art, nature and organic beauty unfolds on the picturesque canvas of the Spanish painter Daniel del Rosal García. Born in 1983 in Madrid, this artist followed his artistic passion, studying fine arts at the Complutense University of Madrid and partly in Warsaw, where he currently resides.
In his initial projects such as "Trace" and the "Small Pleasures" series, del Rosal contemplated the influence of roots on our perception of the world, creating geometric compositions that combine traces in the snow with motifs of Spanish architecture. However, it is the latest series of abstractions, presented at the "Organico" exhibition, that discovers completely new areas of his art.
In his artistic achievements, del Rosal experiments with color possibilities, texture and matter. He moves from abstract compositions to monumental paintings that vibrate with life and texture, providing viewers with a unique experience of immersion in the work.
Daniel del Rosal García, known from many individual exhibitions such as: Dolphins, MiTo, Culture Ferry, Van den Berg, Studio Place, The Autograph, Bily Konicek at Ethnographic Museum, Bacalarte Gallery and Fijewski Gallery presents viewers his newest abstraction series. This is not only the exploration of colors and forms, but also deep immersion in organic nature.
During conversation we learn that the artist mainly describes his art as an exploration of beauty and hideousness, not only as an aestetic mean. His works, just like organs, perform specific functions in the art ecosystem. Each canvas is not only a work of art itself, but a pixel in an artist's complex mind.
Everything started at del Rosal grandma's house in Madrid, where he encountered inspiration for abstraction. Childhood memories, Spanish tiles, geometric terrazzo - all are reflected in his latest works.
Monika Tramś, the curator of exhibition emphasizes that del Rosal's abstractions are not only painting experiments, but also deep references to biology and nature's cycles. It is a kind of microcosm, where each image plays an important role, just like organs in the human body.
It is worth to know Daniel del Rosal García's works. They reveal the fascinating world of organic abstraction, which not only moves the senses, but also stimulates the imagination and encourages reflection on the nature of art and life
