ARTIST STATEMENT

I seek in life the days of happiness, small wonders in everyday moments, joyful exclamations of significant events.

I gather it all in handfuls and scatter it in scraps across the canvas of the painting. I recreate those moments in composition. Sometimes it's an abstract, geometric constellation, and other times, a narrative with characters. Creative chaos surrounds me. Pieces of matter, from which I create, envelop me from all sides. Suddenly, one seemingly insignificant element appears on the hill of scraps; I anoint it in my narrative, and it becomes the most crucial element of the composition.

It's time for color. Inseparable from the whole, it blends with the painting like music and dance. It builds the mood, cools, or warms emotions. Above all, it is a carrier of a powerful dose of positive energy that I want to share with others. My works are a symphony of interactions, where shapes dance with vibrant colors, creating a visual language that speaks to the soul.

My goal is to evoke an impression similar to listening to a captivating musical composition. With each subsequent encounter, previously unnoticed sounds are discovered, just as my paintings encourage you to return and discover new dimensions every time you look at them.

CRITICISM

Katarzyna Pander-Liszka, born in 1970 in Zabrze in southern Poland, completed postgraduate studies in interior design and painting at Warsaw „Studio Sztuki” under the supervision of professor Elżbieta Pawłowska. Katarzyna worked for many years as interior designer. Additionally she created decorative elements for the interiors in form of mixed media collage. In time, it was the creative part of her nature that dominated her career.

She explored new artistic techniques in Italy and USA, as a member of National Guild of Decoupeurs, where she practiced the very traditional technique of collage.

Soon Katarzyna was leading a collage studio in Warsaw, Poland, where she could exercise her artistic passion and educated young art lovers in the traditional collage techniques.

At the same time, Katarzyna - as an artist, constantly exploits new paths in painting. For several years, fascinated by the richness of colors, she focused on painting on silk. Then she discovered the magic of resin epoxy painting, playing with color and texture. Finally she turned to creating geometric assemblage paintings with the use of many layers of cotton canvas combined in color rich multidimensional works.

The brave use of pigment and texture allow Katarzyna to best express her own artistic vision, transferring her intimate emotions into a unique, color rich world.

Katarzyna presented her works at numerous joined-exhibitions in Poland and International

Art Fairs in Italy, Monaco and during the Florence Biennale.
